The mountains are undeniable in considering where to go for amazing family photos. There are stellar views, gorgeous colors, and the mountains are so completely Colorado. Mountains can be a little harder to schedule for young families because being exposed to sunlight on a mountain, in order to get long views, can be a very bright situation. Sunset is best for the longer shots, which can be late for little ones in the warmer months. All of these sessions were done during Golden Hour, which starts about an hour before sunset.
One of the things I love about the mountains (besides EVERYTHING) is that the locations are so dynamic and interesting. Tall trees, amazing climbing rocks, open fields. We won't just hang out near the long views. I'll capture you playing in and exploring it all.

"Alyssa has documented the major milestones of our growing family over the past 2 years, and I plan on her being our family photographer forever! Alyssa's loving, calming presence allows us to feel so comfortable and authentically ourselves during the sessions. Even with an energetic toddler and squirmy infant, we're able to be in the moment because she's right there with us, celebrating our family's deep connection and love throughout the shoot. The images themselves are works of ART that we'll always cherish (and get SO many compliments on from family and friends!). I don't know how she works her magic, but every photograph feels like a timeless snapshot of our genuine relationships...all with gorgeous lighting, perfect composition, and brilliant color tones. In addition to being a gem of a human being, Alyssa has a true gift for artistic photography that she shares with the world so generously." - Talia
